Silversea acquires a new ship…..

Silversea Cruises have today announced that they have purchased Canodros S.A and their expedition ship, Galapagos Explorer II, so another ultra-luxury fleet to add to their collection.  The ship is a 100-guest vessel with 50 all-suite accommodation.  She will undergo a major refurbishment in September 2013 and will also be re-named. This is exciting news for Silversea as it will allow them to expand its luxury expedition cruises already offered to customers.

Until that time, Galapagos Explorer II will continue on its planned schedule of cruises in the Galapagos Islands and will also continue to be operated by Canodros.  There will be a full trade press release tomorrow.
