On Sunday we had the privilege of watching the Olympic Torch pass through Redditch and Astwood Bank. I think it is important to be behind events like this, so we got the children up early and drove to our friends house who fortunately for us live on the road on the route for the torch. For a change the weather was very kind to us so we took our place and waited…. What a fantastic atmosphere, the local police were fab, they stopped and talked to the children even allowing photos of them on or by their bikes. My eldest girl thought this was fab, my youngest was too shy though to have his photo. There were Official Olympic floats playing music and people dancing it really was great. Here are a few photos of the event.
We then set the morning off by going into our friends hot tub and drinking champagne………
