Merry Christmas everyone…..

So that’s it for me, i’m all broke up and ready for the festive period to start….Well actually it’s already started.  I have just come back from our annual Christmas Conference which was 3 nights on board Fred Olsen, Boudicca.  We sailed from Liverpool and went over to Dublin.  What a great time we had, of course some of it was work which then followed on to partying.  It is a great way to spend a bit of time getting to know your fellow work colleagues, some you have never seen as most of the sales team are home workers and are scattered around the country.  The first night was a themed 80’s night, so we had Smurfs, 80’s bands, Madonna’s, characters from Dynasty.  I work closely with Eve and we wanted to go as a duo, and something a bit different.  So, after a lot of debate and discussion we decided to go as Prince Charles and Lady Diana on their wedding day!  I think we turned a few heads that evening.

I had never been to Dublin before and was really looking forward to sampling a Guinness, which of course is a must when in Ireland.  What a fantastic city, so much atmosphere, they certainly like to spread the Christmas Love.  We spent a couple of hours in a bar on Temple Street, where they had a live singer, so after a few Guinness’ people were joining in, before you knew it, it was time to take the coach back to the ship, let’s just say a few people started to flag during the evening meal, was great to watch though!!

So this year has been a special year for me at www.cruise.co.uk as back in March I celebrated 20 years with the company.  As you can imagine I have seen lots of changes throughout the company and feel proud and privileged to be part of this.  I am sure I will see many more too.

Now it’s time for me to sit back, take some time out with my family and re charge my batteries ready for a busy year head.
