Where do you start? There are so many ships and so many different itineraries to choose from it must be a mind field when you start planning a cruise. Of course this is what we are here for. By asking the right questions at the start it doesn’t take long before we can match you up with the right cruise for you and your family.
So you now know where and when you want to go the next hurdle is what type of cabin you are after and I think this can be the hardest choice of all!
Inside cabins
Of course these are the cheapest option but by no means basic. To me the plus side of having an inside is you get a great nights sleep as the cabin will be in darkness, no danger of light creeping through the curtains!!
Outside cabins
You can pay slightly more and get an outside cabins, remember though there are different types of outsides cabins. Some may have a restricted view, so you will get a little natural light coming through but the view will be restricted by maybe a life boat. Some may have a porthole and then others will have a large picture window.
Balcony cabins
If your budget can stretch a little further then a balcony cabin is the perfect option. You cannot beat waking up early to watch the sunrise with a coffee sitting on the balcony. You will also have some fantastic views of docking in and out of port without the hustle and bustle you can sometimes find on deck. My favourite memory was when we docked into Kotor (Montenegro) the scenery was something very special which I sampled out on my private balcony!
Suites
Now if you can stretch your budget a little more you can be surrounded by beautiful decor. These are the largest cabins, with private sitting areas, some have a grand Piano, others are on 2 levels with a feel of a luxurious apartment. Suites can vary from the different cruise lines, some even have a whirlpool tub on the balcony. There are so many added benefits of paying the price for a suite.
