Birmingham half marathon

Well training is in full swing now for my upcoming half marathon. There are about 20 of us at www.cruise.co.uk who have entered. We have employed a running instructor who is giving us some great motivation and running techniques that will help us along the way. I have to say his encouragement is fantastic and is making us all believe that we can do this!!

At first I didn’t really set myself a goal, think just completing it will be an achievement, but as I am getting more and more into the training I have decided I want to do the run in around 2 hours 15 mins, my instructor did say last night he reckons I can do it in just under 2 hours. Let’s wait and see, think that might be a little too adventurous.

Our chosen charity is U LEGEND, which is very close to us all here at cruise.co.uk, as sadly one of our sales staff was diagnosed with a sarcoma back in October 2011 and is having on going treatment. We are just setting us a just giving page so once this is up and running I will let you know.

I will also let you know my running number, see if you can spot me on the route.  Last year 15,000 people ran the course, I really cannot wait!!
