A Right Royal Autumn

How exciting…… I have been asked to go on a couple of ships visits, the Oasis of the Seas and also the Anthem of the Seas – giving me the opportunity of visiting the largest to the newest ships with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.

So on the 15th October I am off to see the Oasis of the Seas – which I am really looking forward to, but the one I cannot wait to see is the Anthem of the Seas, which is going to be a 2 night cruise.  Not only am I looking forward to seeing the ship I am interested to see how the Dynamic dining is going to work.  This is what RCCL are calling the next era of dining at sea.  It is where guests have total control of their own culinary journey, with 18 distinctive restaurants.  The main dining room is the most ground-breaking part of Dynamic Dining, the restaurant has been reimagined as five complimentary main restaurants, each with its own distinctive menu and ambiance.

The five different Restaurants are:

American Icon Grill with a capacity of 430

Chic with a capacity of 434

Silk with a capacity of 434

The Grande with a capacity of 432

Costal Kitchen with a capacity of 128 (for suite guests only)

Next Level Signature Restaurants is where you will have to pay a cover charge, this will vary from restaurant to restaurant.  They also are in partnership with award-winning, world renowned chef’s Jamie Oliver, Michael Schwartz and Devin.

These restaurants are:

Wonderland with a capacity of 62

Jamie’s Italian with a capacity of 132

Michael’s Genuine Pub with a capacity of 130

Solarium Bistro with a capacity of 110

Chops Grille with a capacity of 108

Izumi with a capacity of 40

Chef’s Table with a capacity of 16

Then RCCL are offering the Laid Back Around-the-Clock options which provides an even broader choice of casual dining options

These are:

Windjammer with a capacity of 860

Marketplace The cafe@Two70

SeaPlex Dog House

Sorrento’s

Cafe Promenade with a capacity of 50 and will have a cover charge

With Obviously only being on the ship for 2 nights I will only be able to sample a few of the restaurants but hopefully it will give me a good insight to how this new type of dining will work.  Watch out for my blog in November!
