Due to the huge success of the Solstice class ships Celebrity Cruises have decided the Celebrity Constellation is the next ship to be “Solsticized”.
So what does this really mean?
Following a recent 15 day dry-dock, Celebrity have added some of the most popular venues found on their new Solstice class ships onto the Constellation. This includes the Tuscan Grille steakhouse, the vibrant creperie, Bistro on Five, a “cool” new ice-topped Martini Bar, the inviting Café al Bacio and Gelateria, Cellarmasters wine bar, complete with the state-of-the-art wine serving systems known as “Enomatics,” allowing guests to select and serve wines by the glass. Improved suites, with all new furniture, flat-screen TVs, upholstery, bedding and carpeting. The staterooms have received new carpeting, flat-screen televisions, new bedding plus much more.
This is the way forward for Celebrity and you will find after the scheduled 2011 refurbishment for the Celebrity Infinity and Celebrity Summit they will also be “Solsticized” and the Millennium will join them after her 2012 refurbishment.
I think this is a good move for Celebrity, after my ship visit on the Celebrity Equinox last June I was certainly impressed with the facilities the ship had to offer.
