What’s in store in January at cruise.co.uk!

Well it doesn’t seem like 5 minutes I was writing my blog getting excited about the start of Christmas – now the Christmas trees down, kids presents have been put away and the diet and exercise starts.  It feels nice to get back to a bit of normality.  There is only so much Turkey, cheese and biscuits oh and Tia Maria one can take!!

I had a lovely Christmas it was great spending time with the family not having commitments to go here there and everywhere we just took each day as it came.  Now I here you ask how did I get on with my Christmas dinner?  I didn’t actually end up cooking, my husband was really poorly in the early hours of Christmas morning and he ended up in hospital – which turns out he may have kidney stones so Christmas morning did turn out to be a nightmare.  My husband missed the children opening their presents. He got back mid morning but to be honest he wasn’t really up to much – so I tucked him up in bed and went to my parents for lunch – we had a lovely time but was nice to be back home.

I cannot believe how much 2 children can have for Christmas – I think we did go overboard a little this year, but I wouldn’t have it any different. 

January is always a busy month at Cruise.co.uk, this is when people start looking at holidays for the year ahead.  I always book my holiday in January.  It a great month to book not only will you benefit from the great savings the cruise companies have at the moment but it gives you something to look forward to. 

So what’s on offer and what will make you book now!  This year RCCL/Celebrity have stripped away all there extras like free car parking and onboard credit, which makes the cruise price lower and more attractive.  We do have certain dates though that has onboard credit and free parking.  On the other hand Cunard are offering some fantastic onboard credit amounts and also free parking so it is certainly a mixed bag. 

So the month has started well and I have noticed there are a lot of first time cruises that are looking for family cruises in the school holidays.  Availability is getting limited for 4 berth cabins, so if it’s  family cruise you are looking for then I wouldn’t leave it too long.
