Dress Code…. part 2

Continuing on from my earlier blog on Dress codes, below is an insight to Fred Olsen Cruise Lines dress code.

Daytime wear on Fred Olsen Cruise Line ships is casual: comfortable shoes are essential for going ashore, sightseeing and walking on deck. During the day the restaurants request you adhere to an appropriate dress code, so no swimwear.  When it comes to the evening, dressing for dinner is traditional.  During your cruise there will be some casual as well as themed evenings such as ‘Tropical Evening’ or ‘British Night’, where everyone wears red, white and blue.  Generally speaking the style is informal, with gentlemen wearing jacket/ or shirt and tie and ladies smartly dressed.  On formal evenings, gentlemen will prefer to wear ‘black tie’ with ladies elegantly dressed in cocktail or evening dress.  As a guideline there are usually four formal nights on a two-week cruise.  Further details will be supplied with your travel documents.

Dress Suit Hire – ‘Floating Formals’ is a suit hire company that Fred Olsen Cruise Line uses.  You can ore-book by telephone from your home.  When you arrive on-board, your tuxedo will be pressed and waiting for you in your cabin.  When the cruise is over all you need to do is leave the suit with reception. It’s that simple!
