This weekend I am off to Amsterdam for a night with a few of my work colleagues to go and see Holland America’s newest ship the Koningsdam. It’s a great opportunity to go and have a look at the ship – have lunch and of course take lots of photos and videos. I am really looking forward to the visit because this is my first time on a Holland America ship!!
The Koningsdam is the largest of the Holland America fleet and is the first in their Pinnacle class ships . Her maiden voyage was from Civitavecchia on the 8th April 2016.
Koningsdam will hold 2,650 guests and will focus on fluid curves and graceful lines, light spaces and a natural flow of public areas. The age group on Holland America tends to be 40-60.
While we are on board we try to look at all types of cabins and suites, sample lunch on board and of course take lots of photos and videos of the public areas. So watch out for my next blog that will give you my honest opinion and feedback on the ship.
