40th Celebrations!

Last weekend we started the celebrations for my sisters 40th.  A few close friends went to Liverpool for a girly weekend, we had a great time.  I have to admit we didn’t do any of the sights it was to sample the nightlight!!  We stayed at the Jurys Inn which is down by Albert Docks, a great hotel and a great location, because we were so lucky with the weather the atmosphere down there was fantastic, everyone was outside sitting in the sun and enjoying a few drinks!!  We then went out on the night around Concert Square, it felt like we were on holiday as everyone mingles out on the square and was a fantastic atmosphere.  I thought how friendly everyone was, I would definitely go back but maybe next time appreciate a little bit more of the city.

This year sees a few of my friends being 40, (I have a couple of years before I join the club) so have lots of parties and nights away coming up.  We did a mini cruise a few years ago to celebrate my friend who was the first to turn 40,  this was brillant and I would certainly recommend this to people wanting to celebrate something special with a party atmosphere.  You will find lots of people onboard celebrating birthdays, hen or stag weekends.  We went on the P&O, Oceana and did a 2 night cruise from Southampton to Bruges and back to Southampton.  There are plenty of these mini cruises throughout the year with P&O, Cunard, Fred Olsen, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean.

Here are a few photos of my weekend in Liverpool
