Who is the Godmother of the Ovation?

Royal Caribbean have announced that the famous Chinese actress Fan Bingbing will be the godmother of the brand new ship Ovation Of  The Seas. Bingbing is the first Chinese celebrity selected to be the Godmother of an international cruise line and will officially name Ovation of the Seas at the ship’s inaugural ceremony in Tianjin, China on June 24, 2016. The second Quantum-class ship to be deployed in China, Ovation of the Seas, will sail its inaugural season from Tianjin after a one month mini season from Hong Kong before the ship re positions to its winter home port in Australia in December 2016

To be honest I had never heard of her and had to do a little research, finding out she is in China one of the most recognised faces and names, and is actually number one on the Forbes China ‘Celebrity 100’ list and has held that top position for three years . Apparently she is often spoken about at Premiers for her amazing sense of style and recognised as a fashion icon that dazzles at red carpet events.

At the press conference that was held in China Fan Bingbing said “My father was a singer in the art troupe of the Political Department of the Navy in China. My childhood was filled with the melodies of the sea and I often dreamed about sailing out to sea for an adventure, now, thanks to this invitation from Royal Caribbean her dreams can come true.

She will be the first godmother of Chinese nationality for such a prestigiopus international cruiseline like Royal Caribbean and will be welcoming people onboard from everywhere so it will be such an amazing experience for her.

The ship really is amazing, with features such as a robotic arm serving you drinks , a rip cord simulator to experience sky dining and indoor sports complex with the dodgems and roller skating.  I have been lucky enough to have experienced some of the fantastic Royal Caribbean ships and so far have been on the Anthem Of The Seas , The Independence , and my latest cruise the Splendor of the Seas.  Of course the Anthem was a truly amazing ship with very unique features, what I would call the future of cruising, but I’m not sure how I would feel to cruise on her for a great length of time, to me the Independence has it all.  A great size, plenty of things to do for families and couples, I love the Royal Promenade area, but she is also a very friendly and easy ship to cruise on!.

I would love to hear your thoughts on what you think of the Ovation of the Seas..
