The Regent Experience

Yesterday I attended one of our many roadshow luxury events. This time it was a morning breakfast at the lovely Careys Manor in Brockenhurst (New Forest). The cruise line for the day was Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

These events follow a similar format with a light breakfast or lunch before our lovely Leanne gives an introduction to Cruise.co.uk, this is followed by the cruise line’s presentation and questions. It is a really informative way of finding out about a particular cruise line that you may never have considered cruising with or even trying. Certain cruise deals which you might not have been aware of are highlighted and both the cruise line of the day and Cruise.co.uk would have some sort of special which is only available to those who attend on the day.

This is also a fantastic way for us consultants to get out and meet potential clients face to face and for the guests to get to know us. The whole morning or afternoon is very relaxed and informative plus there is always a lovely spread thrown in by the venue.

So what did we learn yesterday?

Regent has a small fleet of what they call floating boutique hotels with all-suite accommodation, some of the largest private balconies at sea, with more space per guest and the largest staff per guest ratio. They are also truly inclusive as once onboard you never have to put your hand in your wallet.

I normally publish my blog on a Saturday but as there is a new 4-part documentary starting tonight on Channel 5 at 9 pm I thought I had better get this out today!

Television crews were given access to the 750-passenger vessel, Seven Seas Explorer – dubbed “the most luxurious ship ever built”, by the line – over two sailings around the Iberian Peninsula, the Bay of Biscay and Baltic Sea.
