Regent Seven Seas

This time last week i was on board the most luxury cruise ship at sea, the Regent Seven seas Explorer! I was so lucky to be able to go on board for the day and take a look around the ship and also have some lunch.

I am sure most of you would of been watching the TV series which has been all about this beautiful ship, however seeing it for real is just amazing, it certainly is a stunning ship. You can tell that a lot of thought and money and effort has gone into the ship as the decor is so luxurious and a very high standard.

The ship carries around 750 guests and also has a crew of around 552 so you do get those extra special touches and it feels very personal the service you get from the staff. And although the ship does not hold a lot of passengers compared to some other ships i have been on, it did have a lot of space and felt a lot bigger than it was which was great and i think this it what Regent want, they don’t want you to feel crowded or on top of each other.

We had a tour of the ship to start off with, looking at the restaurants, bar areas, show lounge, pool area and also the cabins.  The atrium and that huge chandelier is so impressive, it gives a real wow feeling when you walk through!

Next we had lunch, which was beautiful, it was a tasting menu so we got to sample a few dishes and of course the lovely wine to go with it.
