We are now approaching 1 of my favourite times of the year but I do suffer for it.

The Stanley Cup Play offs across the pond. Ice hockey is a big passion of mine and for the last 20 years I have been following the Pittsburgh Penguins. This is great for success but does deprive me of sleep as I stay up all night listening to the Pens radio and embracing myself in the amazing atmosphere.

Last year while staying up into the early hours of the morning I happened to do a few quotes and bookings for clients based in Australia, New Zealand and America. It almost helped justify my self infliction of tiredness.

Of course doing quotes and bookings that time of the night is not expected of myself or any other colleague but with the cruising industry being such an enjoyable product and many of it’s customers being just as enjoyable to deal with, why not?

When the kids are older i can not think of a better vacation than to do a cruise around the Americas, jumping off to watch a match and then back on the ship for the next stop. If only the Hawaiians had an Ice Hockey team!!
