Today I received a great letter from a client that went on a Queen Mary 2 Transatlantic, back in June.
They used the cruise to get them to the states and then, while the QM2 went onto canada for 5 days before its return to New York and then onto Southampton, they dashed across America looking for the biggest, longest wooden rollercoasters that America had to offer.
Yes it’s true, no 5 days of New York shopping but 20 hour train journeys followed by 3 minutes of white knuckle Adrenalin rides. To me it sounds like what adventures are all about.
The first stop was Coney Island, New York to ride on the oldest and most iconic rollercoaster in the United States but this was just a taste of what was to come.
2 days later and they had gone over to Ohio to visit ‘The Beast’, the worlds longest wooden rollercoaster and the visit had gotten out to the park staff who followed these guests around the park doing live Tweets of their experience, something they had waited 25 years to do.
Back to the east coast and New Jersey, The worlds tallest Wooden Roller Coaster with a 176 foot drop and speeds upto 70mph.
What an insane 5 days, but insane is my thing and I for one have now added this to my bucket list. good bye Alton Towers.
