We all love cruises, that’s why I’m here and why you’re on this site but the thing I love most are my children. With Jenson aged 5 Months, Olivia 21 Months, Charlotte 10 Years and Lucy 12 Years I’m certainly being tested as a father and the 1 thing that I could never have dreamed of 13 years ago is not minding the early start.
What ever time they go to bed there is always 1 wanting to wake up at 6am, Normally Olivia. By 6.30 we have the books out, CBBeebies on the telly, all the dolls lined up (dressed, half dressed and ready to be dressed), songs sung and various dance routines performed (yes by me too).
Entertaining the children can be a struggle at times, especially when they need good mental stimulation and this does not change when we go on our holidays. Alot of questions I am asked is what are there for children and babies on the cruise ships, well those ships that do look after children do it amazingly and impressively well, there are many cruise lines that offer such services and they all vary differently, thanks to the Cruise.co.uk IT guys and girls there is a great web page for you to view and have all your questions answered at Cruise.co.uk/cruise-guides/babies-and-tots.
And what about us parents, we need our rewards, relaxation and pampering too.
As a big family I have to book my cabins very early and so I can miss the chance of getting a late deal, well if the latest news is to be believed then that is going to be a thing of the past, I’m either going to get a refund, on board credit or free upgrades to the value of any price reduction should the cruise line reduce their prices. Surely by booking early I can’t go wrong from now on, and I get the cabin I want.
