The $1 Million World Cruise!

Silversea are one of my favourite cruise lines, they offer the ultimate in luxury cruising which really is second to none, but recently I have noticed that Silversea seem to be branching more in to the world of Expedition cruising. Don’t get me wrong – Silversea have invested lots in to new ships such as the Stunning Silver Muse and in to keeping the current ships in the fleet up to the 6* standards you’d expect from an Ultra Luxury Line.

Not forgetting that they also have the Silver Moon – The sister to the Silver Muse coming out in 2020 and then two new Evolution Class ships from 2022.

But recently Silversea announced that the Silver Wind would leave its current stomping ground and be refit as an Ice Class Ship – allowing her to take guests further than ever thought to the Ice Regions in Antarctica and the Artic.

They have also said that the Silver Galapagos will leave the fleet in 2020 and be replaced with a brand-new vessel of a similar size to do the Galapagos – This is also in timing with the new Celebrity Flora which is coming out for the Galapagos in the near future.

Silversea also have the Silver Discoverer, Silver Explorer and the Silver Cloud – all current Expedition ships for Silversea.

So, the next step in some really exciting news is that the Silver Cloud will undertake a 167 night Expedition World Cruise in 2021. The prices are still rather unknown at the moment as it does not go on sale till March 2019 but the top suites are said to go for just shy of a $1 Million. Fares will include all flights and some in Business Class, private transfers, a selection of exclusive shore tours, exclusive world cruise events, laundry services, unlimited WIFI, medical services and visas if needed. Guests on board will also receive commemorative expedition gear and up to $2000.00 on board spend, but don’t forget on Silversea, your drinks and tips are included!

On board will be a team of scientists and other knowledgeable experts that will host educational lectures on the ship, all guided shore tours will be included in the cruise fare and will focus on exploration and unique experiences and they are unremarkable – from a private dinner on Tower Bridge’s Walkway in London to a Viking feast in a Forest in Iceland.

The cruise which is called the ‘Unchartered World Cruise’ is a first of its kind and will begin in Argentina and finish in Tromso, you will visit 107 ports of call in 30 different countries. Ports cover Antarctica, South America, the South Pacific, Southeast Asia and Europe.

This will be one of two World Cruises the Silversea will do in 2021 as the Silver Whisper will do a 150 night world cruise too.
