Peninsular Club With P&O Cruises

P&O Cruises operates a loyalty program which is called the Peninsular Club, in recent years it was called the Portunus Club.

For each night you spend on-board you will receive 10 points, Once you have earned 150 points you will automatically become a member.

There are 6 tiers each named after oceans and seas in the world.

They are all arranged in order of size – with the smallest sea in the tiers being the most exclusive.

Pacific – 150 – 500 Points Atlantic – 501 – 1000 Points Mediterranean – 1001 – 2000 Points Caribbean – 2001 + Points

In addition to these tiers, are the more exclusive tiers which are harder to achieve. The Requirements to reach Baltic and Ligurian Tiers are slightly different that the above for.

To get Baltic Tier you must have accumulated 2501 points or more plus have spent 800 -200 nights spent on-board in the 3 years preceding the start of your next cruise.

To get Ligurian Tier you must have 2501 points plus 201 or more nights spent on-board in the 3 years preceding the start of your next cruise

What P&0 have done with the top two tiers, in order to keep the tier exclusive. Membership is done on a ‘cruise by cruise’ basis. So when you become a member, in order to remain you must have spent at least 80 or 201 nights on-board over the three year period to your next cruise. If you do not maintain this level of cruising you will drop back down to Caribbean status and its benefits. Once you get your cruise nights back up you will then upgrade again to one of top tiers

Caribbean Tier – Including everything in Pacific Tier, Atlantic Tier and Mediterranean Tier plus: * 10% Discount on bespoke P&O cruises travel insurance. * Priority booking. * An annual gift from P&O Cruises . * Dedicated check-in. * Embarkation lounge on-board. * Priority embarkation. * Priority booking for select dining venues taken in the embarkation lounge on-board. * Complimentary half bottle of champagne on one formal night (per cabin). * Caribbean tier senior officer hosted event on cruises 8 nights and over.

Baltic Tier – Including everything in Pacific Tier, Atlantic Tier, Mediterranean Tier and Caribbean Tier plus: * Priority to purchase preferred seats on charter flights for Caribbean fly-cruises prior to embarkation. * Select your time of disembarkation. * Separate disembarkation baggage collection area. * Baltic & Ligurian tier exclusive senior officer hosted event on cruises of 8 nights and over. * 50% discount on machine washable laundry items.

The homeport benefits are only available on Southampton departures/arrivals and do not apply to world cruises, segments of a world cruise (exotic fly cruises) or Caribbean fly-cruises.
