P&O have recently released details on its 2014-2015 cruise schedule. They have taken drastic measure to re-assure cruisers that the Vantage Fares are the best option when booking you future cruises, but what do you think?
As of March/April 2014 (Selected dates in March) the Getaway fares are changing and it’s important that you know exactly what you getting.
One of the biggest changes with the Getaways now will be that you will not be able to select what time you chose to dine in the evenings, so if you like a set time this is probably not the best option for you. Remember you may make a saving with the getaway deals but is that saving really worth you sacrificing your dining time therefore potentially ruining you cruise. Of course there are alternative dining options on board, this would only apply to the main restaurants.
The second feature to take in the consideration is if you book on a Vantage Fare you will be able to travel on P&O shuttle transfers in your ports of call, where applicable for free of charge! If you book the Getaway you may have to pay for these.
Cabins are booked on a guarantee basis and you will not be able to request a cabin number or in what position you are on the ship.
These fares are not applicable for On-board credit, free car parking or coach transfers or any other offer P&O
The same terms and conditions still apply regarding the 100% deposit and 100% cancellation, these bookings are also non-transferable. As per 2013 these offers are not available to singles or family cabins.
Cunard also offer Getaway Fares which the above applies to however the Dining option does not apply and you may request a set dining time.
