When you think of Haven, what do you think? British? Seaside? Great British weather?…. But do you think of Ultimate Luxury? Private Pools and sundecks? Private Restaurants? No? Well think again!
Last month, we here at Cruise.co.uk got the change to visit the Norwegian Escape whilst she was showcased in the UK before heading to Miami to be christened as the newest ship in the NCL Fleet.
I will do an overview on the ship shortly but I wanted to cover an area known as a ship within the ship which is the Haven, this is a exclusive area found towards the front of the ship at the top of the Escape. Up here is all Balcony Suite accommodation, the time on board was a bit of a whirlwind so we only got time to see one suite.
This was the Haven Deluxe Owners Suite with Large Balcony which is one of the most expensive suites on the entire ship, but hey!
So as you walk in you have a Guest Bathroom and a snug with a TV in, on from here you have a large Sitting area and Dining Area
Accessible from here is a large Balcony with chairs and sun loungers, overlooking the front of the ship.
As you come back in you have the Master bedroom with a large walk in closet and then the Bathroom complete with large tub and shower.
So being in the Haven, what do that get you? For starters you will have access to a lounge where you can sit and chill and access to a concierge desk so there is no need to queue up at Guest Service down in the depths of the ship, you just go and see them here.
Down on this level, is the crème de la crème, the pool deck, complete with pools, hot tubs, sun loungers a great place to relax and chill out. It is an retractable roof on this area too.
As you go upstairs you have more sun loungers and views over the pool deck below.
Back inside on the upper floor you have another sitting lounge which leads on to the Private restaurant.
Finally if you go outside on the outside deck, you have a private outside bar and more sun loungers on the open deck.
So this puts a whole new definition on going to Haven for the week doesn’t it? So who fancies a week or two? Have you been to the Haven and what did you think?
