As those who read my blogs will have seen, Celebrity have announced that they will be keeping the Celebrity Eclipse in Southampton throughout 2015.
As this news follows and with generally release of more itineraries, Infinity will leave the UK at the end of 2014 and in 2015 will not return, however she will join the Celebrity Millennium and the Celebrity Solstice in Alaska operating a selection of 7 to 12 night cruises.
Celebrity Infinity is part of the Celebrity Millennium class and is a more boutique and smaller ship which gives her the advantage to call in to ports that only accept the smaller cruise ship.
Is this the right move for Celebrity? Infinity has some great deals left for this year if you are planning to get on her for one last time.
As 2015 approaches we will see many beloved cruise ships due to leave the UK, with Independence of the Seas and Celebrity Infinity, Emerald Princess and Ruby Princess all set to waive goodbye to Southampton at the end of this year.
Celebrity have also released there 2015 European Cruises brochure – If you would like a copy please let me know.
