Celebrity Eclipse to return to Southampton in 2016 confirmed, but with the same cruise itineraries!

Today Celebrity Cruises has launched its deployment plans for 2016, generally this is not until Spring 15.

I must admit and you may agree that the Eclipse out of Southampton is starting to get a little boring with their itineraries! The Eclipse is a fantastic ship but there is only so many times you can do Northern Europe, isn’t there? itineraries!

But before I speak to you about what the Eclipse is doing in 2016, I have some more news to share – Celebrity 1,2,3,4 Go is back.

Benefits consist of:-

Free Classic Drinks Package worth $1400

Free Tips worth up to £284.00 per stateroom

Free On-board spend up to $300.00 per stateroom

Free Port Parking worth up to £120.00

To receive all 4 benefits you need to book a Concierge Class Balcony or higher otherwise you will receive 2 of the benefits in Oceanview and Balcony.

It does depend on what part of the world you are sailing in to what benefits you receive, the above is based on Europe.

Children and 3^rd and 4^th Passengers receive 40 minutes of Free Internet and a Free Soda Package.

17^th September 16 – Canaries and the Azores

Now this is much the same as Celebrity has offered for the for 2014 and 2015 and yet it is the same in 2016. C’mon Celebrity give us something different.

I must admit I do feel that it would put me of cruising with Celebrity from Southampton, cruising is about the ship but also the destination

The other thing I have noticed is that Celebrity has decided to do a 3 nighter, they don’t normally do these so this was really exciting as it meant you could get on board and experience Celebrity as first time guests but already Celebrity have said that this may be a chartered sailing meaning it will be closed for general passengers.

When you cruise, do you go for the ship or the itinerary or both?
