Sometimes you have to wonder who was left in charge of deciding on the location of the airport and positioning of the runway however, these videos make you realise how talented (and brave) airline pilots really are.

Kai Tak’s runway in Hong Kong is located in a densely populated residential area meaning the pilots have to manoeuvre the aircraft between buildings to line up with the runway:

Large aircraft are banned from landing at Toncontin airport in Honduras after an Airbus A320-233 over-shot the runway on landing and ploughed into a nearby street in 2008.
