NCL Epic has always had a special place in my heart and on Sunday, I found an absolute bargain meaning I simply couldn’t resist booking it again for 2016.
For the last few months Epic has been year round in the Med and in the winter she’ll be doing some sailings to the Canaries. The cruises are 10-11 nights long and sail to and from Barcelona.
The sailing I’ve booked is over Easter (28th March) for 10 nights and at just £1660 in total for four of us in a Family Balcony cabin with free drinks packages all round, we’d have been stupid not to.
The children LOVE this ship and when I asked them the other day ‘If you could go back on ANY ship, which one would it be?’ the answer I had was ‘THE SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS SHIP!’ So that was that settled.
Spongebob is just one of the things that makes Epic, well, Epic!
NCL ships are known for being ‘Freestyle’. No set dress code, no set dining times. This is particularly useful when you have children in tow.
The facilities they have onboard for children are the best I’ve experienced at sea:
I particularly love the choice of bars and restaurants on Epic too with something to suit everyone.
There’s even a Sushi bar, a Teppanyaki restaurant and of course, the main restaurant, Taste plus many more to choose from.
In the evenings, there’s always something going on somewhere. Our favourite place to sit in the evenings is in the Martini bar. There’s a lovely man there that plays keyboard and sings – you can give him any song and he’ll play it! So talented!
Of course there’s the theatre too for evening entertainment but Epic also has the Spiegel Tent which is a fantastic venue day or night. It transforms from a dining to an entertainment venue and is a must see on your cruise on Epic.
There is so much that can said about Epic – I’ve not even spoken about the ports of call, the spacious (although funky layout of the) cabins, the amazing staff who can’t do enough for you, the popular Ice Bar, the Spice H20 adults only area and so much more. Now that I’m booked I’ll be sure to let you all know all about it when I’m back!
Are you looking for an Easter bargain? This might just be the one for you!
