This week I have been mostly thinking about chocolate and booking myself and family a little break over the Bank Holiday. Due to this, I found out that there is a Chocolate Themed Hotel in the UK! (Very exciting!)
This then led me onto themed Cruises and I found out that Thomson do Chocolate Themed Cruises……
…….which then led me onto unusual Themed Cruises (Are you still following?)
So I compiled a list! Here goes:
Carnival Glory had a 5 night cruise especially for fans of the film series SAW. This included passengers being able to meet the stars, attend (fake) gory parties and of course watch the films.
Royal Caribbeans Freedom Of The Seas hosted a World Poker Tour cruise. Guests were able to meet stars including Mike Sexton as well as take part in tournaments.
Royal Caribbean also hosted a cruise named ‘The Worlds Most Extreme Metal Cruise’ where headbangers from around the world got together to do what they do best – headbang of course – whilst listening to some very well know Metal and Rock bands play live just for them.
My personal favourite, however, has to be the Thomson Dream Chocolate Cruise where you get to learn how to make your own Chocolates and even paint and write with (and eat lots of) chocolate.
Other themed cruises I found were an Elvis themed Cruise (a close second for me), Star Trek and Vampires.
An odd one was the Barbie themed cruise! Royal Caribbean are offering the ‘Barbie Premium Experience’ where cabins are adorned with Barbie costumes, dolls and even Barbie toiletries and bedding! All a bit too pink for my liking…..
I’ll keep you updated with any more I find and if you’re thinking that none of these would really appeal to you, there’s always ‘The Cougar Cruise’ or the ‘Nudist Voyages’……..
….now, where did I put that bar of chocolate…..
Happy sailing!!
