With NCL being my favourite cruise line, I couldn’t not talk about the float out of their newest ship today.
NCL Escape is looking pretty fantastic so far and if you were lucky enough to grab one of the cabins we had on the fantastic offer this week for the 1 night cruise on her in October, have a look at the best bits in the below video to see what you’re in store for.
Escape will weigh in at a hefty 164,000 gross tonnes with a capacity of 4248 and if she’s anything like Epic, Getaway and Breakaway (which she will be!), all of those guests are in for an unforgettable experience.
It’s taken just under a year for her to completed. She was laid down on 19th September 2014 with her launch date being today, 15th August 2015. Her first passenger sailing will be at the end of October with a couple of 1 night taster cruises before she heads over to Miami to embark on 7 night Eastern Caribbean cruises visiting St Thomas, Tortola and Nassau in the Bahamas.
With prices starting as low as £500 per person and including a free drinks package, I think she’ll have a fantastic first season. The Norwegian Cruise Line ships have so much to offer with numerous ‘Freestyle’ dining options, an array of drinking venues, spectacular daytime and evening entertainment and impeccable service.
I may have mentioned once or twice (!!) that I’m off on Epic again in March and I absolutely cannot wait to be back on an NCL ship (although a bit gutted that Nickelodeon has been scrapped and there’ll be no Spongebob or Dora) but I know she still has so much to offer and the kids absolutely love it! (Especially the towel animals we came back to in our cabin every night after dinner).
Are you booked to sail on NCL or considering it? I’d love to hear form you.
