The longest World Cruise goes to…..

Sea Princess!

P&O and Cunard are well known in the UK for offering world cruises every year giving guests the opportunity to spend a couple of months at sea visiting many ports.  Some people take advantage of the special rates we get on ‘World Cruise Sectors’ and will take in part of the world cruise too and visiting some fascinating places.

But did you know that Princess also offer world cruises – and also world cruise sectors?

Princess have just announced their longest ever world cruise. It’ll be on Sea Princess and 106 nights long in 2018!

She will depart Sydney on June 5, 2018, visiting 40 destinations in 27 countries and covering a distance of 32,000 nautical miles.

Princess have stated:

“There are many advantages of a Princess world cruise. As the destination experts and the only cruise line offering world voyages from Australia, we pride ourselves on creating exciting itineraries without the need for costly international airfares,” Mr Allison said.

“With Australian dollars onboard, our world cruises also remove the stress of tipping and the expense of currency exchange. Best of all, our guests only have to unpack once and the world will come to them from the luxury and comfort of a magnificent Princess ship.”

They also stated that a high repeast guest number showed that those people were hooked on cruising!

Of the 3000 guests who travelled on Sea Princess’ 104-night world cruise this year, more than half did the full world cruise and about a quarter had previously sailed on a full world cruise with Princess.  75 per cent of guests booked on the ship’s 2017 voyage had already enjoyed part or all of a world cruise with Princess.

Having marked its 10th year of world cruising from Australia in 2017, Sea Princess’ 2018 world cruise will see Princess Cruises’ welcome its 30,000th local world cruise guest onboard, while also notching up a total of 450,000 nautical miles, 183 unique destinations and its 1500th day at sea on long voyages of more than 75 days from Australia.

Would you do or have you done a world cruise? Or a world cruise sector?
