January is ‘peak time’ in the travel industry.  It’s when our phones ring off the hook and every man and his dog (if travelling on QM2) book their holiday.

Well, all of the cruise lines have their very best offers running at the beginning of the year.  They also start to release the following years cruises and anyone who is a seasoned cruiser will have noticed by now that the ‘last minute deal’ is becoming a thing of the past and you get the best deal the farther in advance you book.

Drinks packages, on board credit, free flights, discounts, free wifi, free shore excursions are just some of the things on offer.  And most of the time, these freebies are worth much more than any discounts that might be applied closer to the sailing date.
