Crystal cruises to debut female dance hosts

Many cruise ships that offer ballroom or any other type of dancing onboard often have dance hosts but they have always been male.

Crystal have been featuring Ambassador Hosts on their cruises since they started.  Traditionally there are more women than men seeking dance partners.  Each Crystal cruise usually has at least four hosts.  Hosts also serve as dance partners to guests travelling with spouses or companions that don’t dance.

On select sailings, Crystal will be introducing Ambassador Hostesses which will see the expansion of it’s hugely popular dance program onboard.  This will debut on three ‘Ballroom at Sea Experiences of Discovery’ sailings in 2014 and 2015.  As well as eight male hosts – twice the usual number – there will be an additional two hostesses to accompany gentlemen during live orchestra performances, evening dance sets and dance classes on the Trans-Atlantic sailings.

The three sailings will be:

• October 5, 2014, Lisbon/Miami, Crystal Symphony (10 days)
• June 12, 2015, New York/London, Crystal Symphony (16 days)
• December 11, 2015, Lisbon/Miami, Crystal Serenity (11 days)
