I can’t believe that Phoenix will be a year old tomorrow! I really don’t know where the last year has gone. We had a house move (at 36 weeks pregnant), Christmas, then Phoenix was born, maternity leave, back to work, another Christmas and now he’s one!!
It’s also Rafes birthday 4 days after Phoenix’s so a busy (and expensive!!) time.
The boys are having a party at a soft play centre on Friday – it wears them out and we can sit and catch up with family while drinking tea. Everyone wins!
A year in pictures makes you realise how quickly they grow up.
He’s grown and changed so much (especially his hair, it was almost black when he was born!)
So now we need to start planning his first cruise! I’m thinking MSC as they have cabins suitable for 5 of us and their prices are fantastic for families. Their kids clubs are brilliant, the choice of food (especially in the buffet) is huge and their ships are beautiful. They have lots of Med itineraries to choose from and you can pick up in a choice of ports meaning you can check which flight option is the cheapest and do it that way.
When it comes to 5 berth cabins, the choices can be very limited and a lot of the time you end up having to book 2 connecting cbins which means 4 out of 5 of you pay adults prices. NCL have a few Haven Suites that sleep 5 or more but the prices can be hefty. RCI sometimes have the odd balcony cabin (particularly on Freedom Class and Oasis Class ships) that will sleep 5 but they’re quick to sell out and the rest of the cruise lines don’t really have it as an option. Therefore, I think it’ll be MSC. Having done a few cruises with them in the past, I know we’ll love it and have a fab time.
Now to get saving!
