Celebrity’s new tipping

For many years when going on a celebrity cruise and if you’ve ever wanted the celebrity select dining you’ve had to have your gratuities (tips) included. many people didn’t like this and I’m the same just because you would like to dine on the anytime dining why should you have to pay for tips? I’m a great believer you tip people if you want to and if you receive good service and I know many cruise line staff do offer very good service, I don’t agree with having one standard charge for tipping  I like to tip the people (staff) who I meet and who do give me good service not to pay up the cruise lines staff wages just because they pay them very little for all there hard work they do and they do work really hard at what they do and very long hours.

So its now a sign of relieve that celebrity has now said that they won’t charge customer’s to have the celebrity select dining (anytime dining) this is something new and something that there sister company Royal Caribbean has done a couple of months ago. when booking celebrity over the last year for cruises even going next year saying that they’d only got th celebrity select (anytime dining) left and that the first and the second dining was on waitlist just to make customer’s have to pay for there tips which I thought was very wrong and I’m so glad that they have changed it not only for customer’s but for us to, so it doesn’t look like were having to charge customers more just for them to have an anytime dining.

What are your thoughts on this should you be able to tip your self and how much you would like to tip not and not get told how much should you tip, I know some people just don’t tip even though they’ve had brilliant service but not everyone should get penalised for these people, let me know your thoughts and are you happy with the new celebrity tipping?
