Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the seas

We’ve all heard of Royal Caribbean’s new ship called the Harmony of the seas and doesn’t she look stunning, but are these ships getting too big?

Harmony of the seas will feature a 150- feet tall, 216- foot long thrill slide called the Ultimate Abyss. The ride consists of a pair of side-by-side slides that put riders into a 100- foot drop that twists and turns at nine miles per hour (scary) Running from the top of the sports zone on the aft of Deck 16 down to the boardwalk near the Aqua Theatre  on deck 6. Ultimate Abyss is not a waterslide. Riders speed down the Ultimate Abyss on a customized mat instead audio effects in each tunnel create a multi-sensory experience.

Besides ultimate Abyss, Harmony of the seas will have three multilevel waterslides over Central park. Harmony of the seas launches in May 2016 with a seven night Mediterranean cruises out of Barcelona through to October. The ship will then reposition to Fort Lauderdale where it will operate year-round seven night western and Caribbean cruises. Like the Oasis class sister ships, Harmony will feature the neighbourhood concept that includes central park, Boardwalk, royal promenade, the pool and sports zone, vitality at sea spa and the fitness centre, entertainment  place and the youth zone.

So do you think Harmony of the seas is too big, well I always get lost on cruise ships I don’t know about you but I like these big ship (well what they have to offer) and I would love to go on her, I’ve never done Royal Caribbean but now I have a daughter I think it would be a really nice ship to go on, the only problem I have with Royal Caribbean are there prices when booking many family’s the 3rd and 4th passenger’s prices are always high My daughter is 5months so if I was to take her next year the cost for her would be the same if an 25 or higher year old was travelling now and child under 2 isn’t going to be eating the food or using the facilities so why charge as much? this is the only thing that I don’t like about them but maybe I might have to  just pay the cost like everyone else and try one of there ships but I think if I was to try one it would be the Harmony or the Anthem as I’ve heard many good reports about the Anthem.
