When is the best time to book your cruise?

This week it is ‘Cruise Week’ and to celebrate the cruise lines put together their best promotions. There are some brilliant offers out there to suit everyone!

It got me thinking.. When is the best time to book to get the best deal?

I guess it depends on a few factors, when you want to go, where and with which cruise line.

The big main stream lines like Royal Caribbean, MSC, P&O, Celebrity and Cunard normally have different promotions each month.

Late deals are also available if you are flexible on where you want to go and are not bothered what cabin you are allocated or what time you dine.

Most like to plan in advance and book the best cabin to obtain a deal to included quirky extras like on board spending money or drinks packages.

It’s all about getting the right deal for your needs.

Here are a few examples of the offers out there.

Celebrity cruises have a fantastic deal. You pay for 1 adult and the 2^nd adult pays ½ the price! And if that’s not enough, you will also benefit from a free classic drinks package! Lush!

I cruised on the Celebrity Eclipse in May. The ship was fantastic and the drinks package was well worth having!

MSC are offering a free upgrade from an inside cabin to a balcony for their winter and summer cruises! MSC have some amazing prices anyway and this offer enhances your cruise giving you that extra luxury. The offer has been so popular it is difficult to speak to them on the phone during the peak times!

Thomson are offering a free all-inclusive drinks package for all summer 2016 cruises.

Holland America are giving up to $400 on board spending money for new bookings.

Royal Caribbean are also doing the offer you pay for 1 adult and the 2^nd adult pays ½ the price.

NCL are giving away a free drinks package for cruises departing in winter and summer.

The drinks packages seem popular! I love the drinks package promotions. The fact that you can indulge and not have to worry about your bar bill at the end is very appealing!

I also love the balcony upgrade. For me this is an extravagance that is hard to justify when you are working towards a budget and I guess this is why it has proven very popular.
