Get ready to Escape!
The Norwegian Escape made its 1st journey on Tuesday to Southampton to spend 2 nights before heading to Miami for the winter season.
With a gust capacity of 4248 and crew totalling 1651 the Escape is the biggest in the fleet so no surprises why the ship will celebrate and show off the grand facilities over 2 days.
I love NCL and this ship looks like it is not going to disappoint if you like to be kept entertained and like plenty of choices regarding dining and nightlife!
In total 28 different dining options! Wow you need to be organised if you are to sample your favourites!
With 21 bars and lounges I am sure there is something for everyone to enjoy.
NCL is most famous for their freedom dining and this ship has all the old favourite venues and some new quirky additions.
There will be 2 new restaurants on-board inspired by Latin chief Jose Gaqrces.
Bayamo is Cuban city and now shares its name with this restaurant at sea. The Latin twist on seafood sounds fantastic. I love to be outrageous on cruises and sample different menus to the norm and this sounds amazing!
Pincho tapas bar also sounds very interesting and how the Latin flavours will be created based on a Mediterranean style menu. I look forward to hearing about this!
Happy hour is every hour! I like the sound of that. Another 1st at sea is the 5 o’clock somewhere bar where you can sip cocktails and enjoy live music.
The NCL Escape will have 74 types of beer and 98 different cocktails
The Escape theatre will show live performances of the hit musicals Million Dollar Quartet, The Brat Pack and After Midnight. So get you jazz hands and blue suede shoes ready for these fantastic shows!
If you like sports then this ship will not disappoint. The sports court not only features basketball, 9 hole mini golf course but a 3 storey Ropes course and plank where you can walk 8 feet over the side of the ship! Now that has got to be done after a visit to the 5 o’clock bar!
How can there be 12 pools and hot tubs on-board? I look forward to fining out!
