XFactor

On Sunday I went with my family to see the Xfactor live tour.
It was showing at the NEC LG arena in Birmingham which isn’t too far from where I live.
I couldn’t have picked a worse day to go as there was heavy snow so even though it was only a 45 minute journey it made driving conditions very difficult.
My 2 children were so excited and have been counting down the days since they were given the tickets as a Christmas present from their grandparents.
Emily couldn’t wait to see James Arthur and although Georgia does like him she was looking forward to seeing Ella and Jahmene.

We arrived nice and early so we could have something to eat before going in and was disappointed to find that it was all fast food so it was a choice of burgers or hot dogs etc which cost a fortune.
I don’t mind paying the prices because you expect it as these type of venues but the lack of choice was disappointing. The kids were happy though as not a vegetable in sight !!
When we located our seats a steward immediately came to us and said that the children were unlikely to see anything because as soon as the show starts everyone would stand up so they offered for us to move to seats further back in the tiered stalls.
I am so pleased we moved because they were in the middle of the stadium with a clear view of the stage and when we looked over to the seats we should have had everyone was standing so they really would not have seen anything.
The show was fantastic they really built up the performances so when they did start the whole arena was buzzing.
James Arthur and Jahmene were the best on the evening and it’s easy to see why James was the winner.
It was great because both Emily and Georgia were up in their seats singing and dancing and with it being a family show was fine for both ages. Georgia did get very tired towards the end and even layed down on her seat to go to sleep at one point but when Rylan came on singing Rylan style it soon woke her up and she was off dancing again. It did make me realise we are a long way off taking her to any concerts yet.
It’s probably not something I would have bought tickets for on my own but would definitely go back again as a family.
