For any committed football supporters out there you will be pleased to hear that the world cup 2014 games will be broadcast on many cruise lines.
I have to say that I am not a fan but my husband is and the 2010 caused a major headache for me when trying to plan our family holiday. My husband was adamant that he would not book anything until we knew the fixtures so he wouldn’t have to miss any of England’s matches. I even had to make sure we would not be flying on their match days.
So for any long suffering partners out there who still want to have their holiday without any arguments at home a cruise would be an excellent solution.
Royal Caribbean for example have said they will be showing games on large screens in various locations on board and for those that prefer to watch on their own they will also be shown on the televisions in your cabin stateroom.
And if you really want to enjoy the world cup in style you can even take a cruise to Brazil just in time for the start of the world cup.
There is a cruise with MSC on the Divina from Miami to Rio where you can extend your stay to soak up the sun and catch a few games before flying home.
Even if you can’t get tickets for the match the atmosphere will be amazing, after all Rio is known for its carnivals and exciting nightlife.
And after the game has finished you can go back to enjoying your holiday and celebrating with a few drinks with friends and even if the result was not what you have hoped for I am sure it will be long forgotten on your holiday of a lifetime.
