Trick or treat ?

With Halloween just around the corner my children are starting to get very excited.

When I was young we never really celebrated this but it seems to be getting more and more popular every year and I think they are as excited now as they are on the build up to Christmas.

We normally just do the usual and get dressed up and go out with our lanterns and go trick or treating. I only let them knock on the doors that are decorated or have a pumpkin on display so that we don’t disturb people who don’t want to take part.

People are so kind and generous and they soon fill up their pumpkin buckets with sweets and chocolate. When we get home they sit and count them all out and they have so many it lasts them until Christmas when Santa comes and tops it all up again !!

This year however  I will be away on an MSC cruise with my husband so they are staying with grandparents .

Panic set in when they thought they would miss out until we had a quiet word with grandma who assured them she had already thought about it and has arranged to take them out with their cousins, phew panic over !!

It got me thinking about whether there will be anything happening on our cruise or what cruise lines in general do to celebrate.

I did some research and whilst it isn’t guaranteed with all cruise lines some do celebrate this. I am pleased to see that it doesn’t look like there will be on our cruise, I didnt fancy taking costumes with me aswell as everything else.

It didn’t surprise me that Disney offer a wide range of acitivities on the Disney Dream so the little ones don’t have to miss out on any of the fun from back home.

They have deck parties, themed menus, the ship is transformed by Halloween decorations and the characters also dress up in themed costumes.
