Thomson to offer cruises from the UK again

Thomson are finally bringing one of their ships back to the UK which I am sure will be very popular.
As Thomson cater to the British cruise market I am surprised they stopped doing this before but pleased to see they have seen sense and reintroduced it.
The Celebration will be sailing from Newcastle next year on a series of cruises to the Baltic Capitals and Norway.
This is a very popular move in the north of England as most cruises depart from Southampton so this will make travel arrangements very easy in this region.
There are lots of cruise lines offering these itineraries but what makes Thomson so popular is the style of cruising which is very British and less formal that some other main stream cruise lines.
They are excellent value for money and include the tips into the price so there are no hidden extras. They also offer an open dinner seating which is becoming more and more popular with people wanting more flexibility.
The shows and entertainment appeals more to us Brits and I am told the food is excellent with a good choice on the evening menu and more courses than other lines who seem to have cut back in this area.
The Celebration is an older ship so doesn’t have all the innovations of the new ships being built today but the atmosphere and value for money make up for this.
They do have a kids club and an adults and children’s pool so great for all the family.
Thomson have also announced they will have entertainment from the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and food from the former executive chef from Harrods on their new flagship debuting on the 9th June in Palma. This ship will have more modern features such as the rock climbing wall, dedicated kids and teen areas and an adult only sunbathing area.
