My trip to Singapore and Malaysia

mariner
I am really excited to be going away at the weekend on a trip to Singapore and Malaysia with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
This is a fantastic opportunity for myself and a colleague to experience their Asia programme first hand so that we can help you with your own holiday arrangements.
I will be flying from Heathrow with Singapore airlines and staying at the luxurious Shangri-La hotel overnight.
We have a very busy schedule and in just 1 day and night we will be visiting Chinatown, Kampong Glam, Sultan Mosque and Haji Lane and Gardens by the Bay. We will also complete a site inspection of the Shangri-La and the Jen Orchard hotel where we have a dinner reservation.
The following day we will board the Mariner of the Seas for a 4 night cruise to Penang and Langkawi. This is a Voyager class ship so will have the fantastic Royal Promenade aswell as other exciting venues such as ice-skating, in-line skating, rock climbing to name but a few.
I have to say I am more interested in the theatre and entertainment and of course the restaurants.
I have heard rumours that we will be trying the speciality restaurants so I will let you know when I come back if they are worth the cover charge.
We will be busy on board trying out as many venues as possible and will also be making time to do some training while we are at sea. Best not have too many cocktails the night before !!
They are also providing us with an excursion in Penang but have given us time off in Langkawi to either book an excursion or relax on one of the stunning beaches.
We arrive back into Singapore but the fun doesn’t stop there as we will be staying overnight in Sentosa at the Rasa Sentosa hotel. After a brief tour of the cruise terminals we will be participating on a hands on cooking class which is very different and not something I have done before.
We will also visit the Botanical Gardens and visit Merlion Park where we will take a river cruise.
This is something we often include in our own tailormade packages so will be interesting to experience this myself.
In the evening we have time in Clarke Quay which I am really looking forward to. This place has it all from stylish and chic bars to award winning restaurants.
The following day we have a tour of Little India then some free time to relax or shop. After dinner we will transfer to the airport for our return flight home.
I am sure we will have had a fantastic time but by this point will be looking forward to getting home to our families.
I will be posting updates on my facebook page while I am away and will write about my experience when I return.
