Infinity moves to Alaska for 2015.

If you have been considering a cruise to Alaska you may be interested to know that Celebrity Cruises are moving the Infinity to Alaska for the 2015 season.

The Infinity is a 5* ship and has recently been solsticized so will not only carry on the 5* luxury Celebrity are renowned for but will also feature the many facilities of their solstice class ships.

The Solstice class features include the Aqua class staterooms and the Blu restaurant aswell as the famous Qsine restaurant where you order your meal using the technology of an Ipad.

However as beautiful as this ship may be nothing can be compared to the stunning scenery you will see in Alaska and the wildlife you will encounter.

I was lucky enough to cruise Alaska many years ago and it was the most amazing cruise I have ever been on.

I cruised from Vancouver and did the Juneau , Skagway, Glacier Bay, Ketchikan itinerary.

Each port was so different but I think my favourite was Skagway.

The first day cruising I was awake early and out on deck having a cup of tea and watched as there were probably about 50 dolphins following us and leaping out of the water, I will never forget that it was a really magical moment . In Glacier Bay I saw whales swimming close to our ship so we had a great view from the observation area and also saw many other types of wildlife on land.

I was disappointed not to see a bear but then you can’t have everything.

You do have more chance of seeing a bear if you take a land tour which is what I would do if I ever have the opportunity to visit again.
