A stress free start to you holiday

If you are looking to book any airport or port hotels I can definitely recommend the Premier Inn hotels for comfort and location.

I recently flew from Gatwick airport which is about 2.5 hours from when I live.

I have stayed at many airport hotels in the past but this time stayed at the Premier Inn mainly because the price was reasonable and it was located at the North terminal where we were flying from.

I wasn’t expecting much as thought it would be very basic but thought it would be ok just for 1 night.

Well I couldn’t have been more wrong

On arrival we parked in the short stay car park next to the hotel and handed over our keys then walked straight over to the hotel and the check-in was very quick and efficient

We were directed to our room which was a family room. I was surprised that the room was large and had all the facilities that we needed.

The entrance to the north terminal was  straight over a crossing in front of the hotel so we could not have been any closer.

As an added bonus we could check-in the night before so we walked over and checked in our luggage and walked back for an evening meal

Although there was a queue for a table and for bar service we were served very quickly and only had to wait 10 minutes for a table.

The following morning we had breakfast at the hotel as they charge £8.25 per adult and kids eat free so for our family we all had a buffet breakfast for just £16.50, a lot cheaper than it would have been at the airport.

The fact that it was so close and stress free made a really nice start to our holiday and when we returned we were on our way home within less than an hour of landing because there was no messing around waiting for a transfer bus to collect our car.
