More and more people are choosing to get married abroad.
It is not surprising considering the average wedding here would set you back around £25,000.
Just think of the exotic places you can see if you spent that much money on a wedding abroad.
I still say one of the best weddings I have been to was my cousins wedding on the Greek island of Rhodes. The marriage was very simple followed by a beautiful rooftop reception overlooking the stunning white washed resort of Lindos. The whole family went out for the wedding ( about 25 of us ) and we had one of the best holidays with memories that will stay with us forever.
Cruising is also a popular choice for wedding venues as people are wanting to try something different for their special occasion. Personally I think a cruise ship is a perfect venue.
There is a destination for everyone so the choice is endless with NCL even offering a ceremony on a glacier in Alaska !!
Once the ceremony is complete you have the beautiful surroundings of your luxury cruise ship.
They will organise everything for you such as the service itself and a cake, flowers, photographer etc.
If you are travelling as a party they can organise a cocktail reception or private reception meal .
If you are travelling without family and friends there are the speciality restaurants to make your evening more special.
To be married on a cruise ship they usually require the cruise to be of a certain duration and you would need to book in advance. You would also need to check where the ship is registered if you want to be married at sea. On ships that are not allowed to offer a legal ceremony you may be able to arrange a blessing at sea instead.
If this is something you are considering why not call me to discuss your options further.
