There were various things I enjoyed on my recent MSC trip but the main thing was the wow factor when you board. It was a very wet and misty Saturday morning and on approach to Venice Cruise Terminal we could make out three ship outlines amongst the mist. The Preziosa towered over Splendour of the Seas, one of my very first cruises was on Splendour and she will always hold a special place in my heart and Ocean Princess. The excitement started to rise the nearer we got and the clearer the picture became. Boarding was easy as we were lucky enough to go straight through. The doom and gloom of outside was all forgotten once on board and our eyes meet the most sparkling, twinkling atrium I had ever seen.
The stairs were clear glass with thousands of Swarovski crystals in them, wow for a girlie girl like me that was heaven, they went up several floors and never ceased to take my breath away no natter now many times I walked up them. The glamour just kept going and going everywhere we looked.
The lights were astounding settling the mood for all occasions in each and every venue. Even the lift made you feel like you were in a Star’s dressing room. I think first impressions are a must but this will also be a lasting impression. Loved it.
