Robotic bar tenders?

Oh yes it is true, Royal Caribbean have introduced robotic bar tenders onto their Quantum class ships.

Now I am not talking R2D2  from Star wars, however on Anthem of the Seas there is a robotic bar where your cocktail is mixed to perfection by the robotic arms behind the bar.

Royal Caribbean have called this the ‘Bionic Bar’. You order you cocktail via a tablet which will be located within the bar area, and be amazed with the skills of your bar tender.  This will be an excellent sight to see however if you are not very comfortable using a tablet, stay clear as if you order the wrong cocktail by mistake you might regret it!

This is obviously a gimmick and RCCL haven’t announced how much these cocktails will be, mind you if a robot is preparing the drink, they won’t require a tip or even a wage so realistically the cocktails should be relatively cheap. That was a tongue in cheek comment by me as of course there will be a charge but you will have to get your video phones out to capture the spectacle.

Now what cocktails will be on the drinks list? Screwdriver or Robotic Cosmopolitan.  Can you come up with any new names for cocktails? Maybe Royal Caribbean will see this and include your cocktail on the menu.
