Fred Olsen go the extra miles…

On talking to a client of mine who has just returned from a Fred Olsen sailing on Braemar to Norway my client was raving about her sailing.

The ship’s Itinerary took passengers to Norway onto (Honningsvag) North Cape.  The ships Captain who was Norwegian, and originally from that area announced that the ship was taking a slight de tour and sailed into areas which were not on the original itinerary.  Because Braemar is a smaller ship she could sail into smaller fjords and reach places other ships cannot.  Now apparently not all Captains can do this, they have to have done a ‘test’ which is sort of like the London taxi ‘knowledge’ for Cruise ship Captains to allow to sail the ship to the new itinerary.

My client was overjoyed that she was taken on the extended itinerary, and in her words ‘it was a dream come true’ as she would never have got to see those places at all.

Well done Fred Olsen for going that extra mile for your clients, it is things like this that bring your passengers back to repeat bookings with you!
