Turkey Is Just Beautiful.

I’m back to normality after my 5 gorgeous days away in Icmeler in Turkey.

Myself and my boyfriend travelled out on Monday the 06th October, we flew with Monarch which I have to say it was a brilliant flight, no delays and a plus we got moved to extra leg room seats because the flight wasn’t full.

We arrived into Dalaman airport which was about 3pm local time, we weren’t waiting long for our bags then it was out of the airport to take our transfers to Icmeler.  When we walked out of the airport in Turkey the sun was shining and was very hot, just what I needed.

Now I will have to say our transfer was a nightmare, would you believe it took us 4hrs, can’t believe it took us so long the driver was doing 30 miles an hour all the way, it should of only taken 2 hours.

Eventually arrived at out hotel at about 7pm that evening ,we had booked into the Verde Hotel in Icmeler, which is a 4* all inclusive. It had been a long day of travelling so we threw the cases in the hotel room then ventured to the bar, being all inclusive so no messing about.

The hotel was very clean and the service and standards were brilliant, we had no complaints at all. The food was varied and of a really good standard, brilliant location even if you didn’t have any transport. The bus services were regular and only cost pennies to get from A to B.

The next day my boyfriend hired a scooter for the duration of our holiday which was a brilliant idea, so we had a chance to do a lot of sightseeing around the island and explore different places, we ventured to Turunc, Marmaris, a little place called Kusadasi which is a little gem of a place, just over the mountains from Icmeler. The views in turkey are absolutely breath-taking and so many beautiful little places you can travel to. As you can see from some of my pictures.

The hospitality of the Turks is just brilliant, they are so polite and very helpful. 1 thing I will have to say you do have to barter for anything you’re interested in buying, they offer all sorts from copies of Nike trainers, souvenirs, leathers, t shits, sweatshirts, jewellery, diamonds sugar the list is endless. Marmaris is the best place for your bargains just remember always barter on the price because you will always get a better price to what they are asking for, you can find some brilliant bargains.

Whilst I was out there I bought myself a beautiful pair of 18ct white gold earrings with 5 diamonds in each. I gave the jeweller a picture of exactly what I was looking for and he handmade them for me within 1 day, they are beautiful and worth every penny. The jewellery that you can buy/made in Turkey you would pay at least treble the price for them here in the UK.

There are so many things you can do in Turkey, from chilling round the pool or the beach, the mad nightlife in Marmaris, the massive selection of really good restaurants to travelling around the island. My boyfriend also went jet skiing whilst we were out there, it cost £17 for 25 minutes, he loved every second of it and also bought the DVD for £10 which they had filmed. I would definitely say that Turkey has something for anyone, young or old.
