Sold To Thomson Cruises !

This is amazing news and a big step forward for Thomson cruises. To be honest it was about time they ventured into having larger ships on their fleet with a bit more class. This move to lease Splendour Of The Seas from Royal Caribbean has been one of the best decisions that Thomson’s has done in a long time and this will be their first step in moving forward with the times, offering passengers more class, more balcony cabins, a wider choice of suites, an increased number of dining options and extra entertainment and activity facilities.

The Splendour Of The Seas will be the largest in the Thomson Cruises’ fleet, featuring a rock-climbing wall, nine hole mini golf course, indoor swimming pool, eight bars and lounges and multiple dining options, she hold 1,830-passengers and she is 69,130-ton, she first entered service in 1996 and her last sailing with Royal Caribbean will be on the 4th April 2016 and then she will be transferred to Thomson Cruises.

Thomson Cruises has always been known as a good cruise liner for their outstanding standards on board, local regional flights, brilliant entertainment and excellent food, but one thing I used to have as feedback from a lot of passengers was they wouldn’t give them a go only because their ships were to small and most of their ships were old and tired, hopefully now this will give them the opportunity of cruising with them. I posted an advertisement on Face Book a couple of days ago with regards to this and I was amazed to have so much feedback of passengers that have said “ now they leasing a larger ship they will give them a go “.This is brilliant news and I say good luck to Thomson’s and hopefully this will be the start to a new adventure.

We can only wait to find out what she will be called ??? Any suggestions ??
