New Ships On The Horizon Continued !!!!

Well I am back with more big news on which new ships are coming our way in 2016. I hope you are ready to see which other new ships are on our horizon.

This week we will start with Royal Caribbean, Harmony Of the Seas.

Harmony of the Seas is the second of Royal Caribbean’s new ships to launch this year. She will be launched on the 20th May 2016, from Southampton, then in June 2016 she will be sailing from Barcelona and Rome.

She will be an Oasis Class vessel, 226,000 gross tonnes, hold 5,400 guests, she will be the largest cruise ship in the world, surpassing both her older sister ships Oasis and Allure of the Seas by some 2,000 gross tonnes.

Harmony of the Seas will feature the cruise line’s seven distinct neighbourhood’s for which Oasis class is known, and will offer the most amazing collection of experiences, amenities and activities at sea. She will  feature three multi-story waterslides all of which twist and turn over Central Park, then let imaginations soar in the Youth Zone – the largest kids’ area at sea,  for you thrill seekers you will love the 10-story high dry slide called the Abyss, which begins in the Pool and Sports Zone at the back of the ship and drops riders some 100 feet to the Boardwalk.

She will also feature a new Bionic Bar on the Royal Promenade, first introduced aboard Quantum of the Seas and featuring robot bartenders. Harmony of the Seas will have an aqua theatre where there will be numerous shows based around diving and swimming. And for all you musical lovers, you be happy to hear that Royal Caribbean have an exclusive contract to perform Grease on-board – the first time it will have ever been performed at sea!

Next we have Regent Seven Seas Explorer.

Unlike previous launches I have been through, this will be a six star luxury ship so she will not have the “song and dance” like the other cruise liners, but Regent are spaciously intimate, breathlessly elegant and  renowned for sheer utter luxury.

Regent Seven Seas Explorer will set sail for her maiden voyage from Monte Carlo on July 20, 2016, carrying 750 passengers, looked after by 542 crew. She will also feature some of the largest and most luxurious suites at sea. She will be the fourth – and the largest – of Regents fleet, weighing 56,000 tonnes.

With Regent everything is included – flights, business seats on Penthouse Suites and above, unlimited excursions, Wi-Fi throughout the ship, unlimited drinks (including fine wines and premium spirits), 24 hour room service, all on board services, gratuities, and fine dining in speciality restaurants.

Details released so far talk of a culinary arts kitchen with classes taught by expert chefs, French restaurant Chartreuse, Pacific Rim, which serves Asian cuisine, Prime 7 steakhouse, a traditional cigar lounge, casino, a tiered theatre, and regular Regent travellers will be glad to hear that Canyon Ranch Spa Club will be making a return.

If you would like to know anymore information on any of the ships I have mentioned please let me know.

I did say this was going to be a very exciting year for new ships, prepared to be Wowed !
