Explorer Of The Seas To Sail From Southampton In 2015.

Earlier this week Royal Caribbean announced that Explorer Of The Seas will be replacing Adventure Of The Seas for summer 2015. This is her first time she will be sailing from Southampton.
The newly enhanced Explorer of the Seas will take over the three 16 night, roundtrip itineraries from late April through to September 2015.  She will also be offering some brand new destinations which will include a three and eight night Northern Europe itineraries, 11-16 night Mediterranean itineraries, 10 to 14night Madeira, Azores and Canary Islands itineraries.
Before her arrival at Southampton, Explorer of the Seas will complete an extensive, month-long dry-dock revitalisation. She will also boast a wide range of new innovative features.

Below are just a few of her new features:

 • FlowRider surf simulator
 • 3-D movie theatre
 • New specialty restaurants
 • New staterooms and suites, including virtual balcony staterooms

In addition to these fantastic new features, there are also mouth-watering new dining options to be savoured. And that’s not to mention the existing iconic Rock Wall, real ice-skating rink, full-size basketball court, and the bustling boulevard that is the Royal Promenade, lined with shops, restaurants and lounges. Plus, even more exciting enhancements which will be unveiled soon!
I was quite surprised by Royal Caribbean’s late decision to switch ships, it was planned that Southampton would be Adventure Of The Seas homeport.  She will now remain at San Juan, Puerto Rico, to sail seven-night Southern Caribbean cruises throughout the summer season.
